Patricia Brown
Until joining the Board as Treasurer in 2006, Patricia's connection to the Listening Hearts Ministries was through her husband, Joseph Paul Gill, one of the co-authors of Listening Hearts: Discerning Call in Community. A Roman Catholic, Patricia (Patty), is a parishioner of St. Ignatius Church in Baltimore City. Patty also regularly worships with her husband and two step-children at Epiphany Episcopal Church in Odenton, Maryland.
In addition to other community activities, such as serving as co-chair of the United Way of Central Maryland's Women's Initiative Campaign from 2004-2006 and being named one of the Top 100 Women in Maryland by the Daily Record in 2001, Patty is President of Johns Hopkins HealthCare LLC, a managed care organization owned by the Johns Hopkins Health System and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Ms. Brown also serves as Senior Counsel for The Johns Hopkins Health System, providing legal advice in the areas of managed care and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Hopkins in 1994, Ms. Brown was an Assistant Attorney General with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Patty is a 1982 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Richmond and a 1986 graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law.
