Lee Owen
Lee Owen's involvement with Listening Hearts Ministries began when the minstry was in its infancy at Memorial Episcopal Church, his church home for many years. Lee was among the first persons to go through the training process in order to be a discerner in group discernment sessions. He has beeen a member of both the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee for a number of years. Listening Hearts Ministries has been a bery important part of his spiritual development.
Lee graduated from Williams College and received an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. After finishing at UVA, Lee moved to Baltimore and began a career in investment management. He started with T. Rowe Price, where he worked for eleven years. From there, he moved to Alex Brown Investment Management where he is now Co-President.
Although Lee has a keen financial mind, he commits the budget for Listening Hearts Ministries to spiritual discernment, led by his faith that God will provide as we follow what we believe God is calling us to do. And Lee has been more than generous in providing his own private financial support.
Lee was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He is married and has four children. He and his wife Jenny reside on Gibson Island near Annapolis, MD, and when not working, Lee most enjoys golf, fishing and boating.
