Susan Ward
Sue Ward has been connected with Listening Hearts Ministries from its inception as a result of being asked by Suzanne Farnham to assist in the research project that led to the writing of Listening Hearts. She has been a member of the organization's Board of Trustees since it began and serves as the Board's Vice President and Secretary. Sue is co-author of Listening Hearts: Discerning Call in Community.
Sue considers herself a life long student. She attended the College of William and Mary and later graduated from Old Dominion University. She later decided to pursue a nursing degree that she obtained in 1990.
Sue was born in the Panama Canal Zone and spent her youth as a Navy Junior, moving regularly and experiencing much of the United States as well as Europe. Her involvement with the Navy continued with her marriage to her husband, Sam, who is a retired Navy Captain. They now reside in the San Diego, California area, and have four children and thirteen grandchildren. Sue's lifelong interest in traveling continues to this day. Both she and Sam are also active in choral groups.
Sue is masterful in capturing the essence of our Trustees meetings, which are, like everything else we do, approached from the perspective of spiritual discernment. Her personal thank you notes to our contributors are prized. An Episcopal bishop recently wrote a thank you for her thank you note!
